HI:PE Dual-layer air filter material, create your own filter insert

This air filter material from HI:PE is a flexible 35×25 cm sheet that you cut to the exact shape and size you need. The material consists of two layers of foam with a total thickness of 19 mm, a large-mesh outer layer that keeps out larger particles and a fine-mesh inner layer that filters out the remaining dirt. The combination provides both good filtration and high airflow, which can be an advantage if you want more air for your engine. However, keep in mind that increased airflow can mean the engine requires more gasoline and you may need to re-jet the Carburetors to keep the right air/gasoline mix.

Fits all machines you cut it yourself

Because the material is sold as a sheet, it is universal and fits virtually all scooters and mopeds with Carburetors regardless of make and model. Simply measure your existing filter insert, cut the sheet to the same shape and you have a new insert ready. It also makes it easy to make a custom insert if you have an air filter box with an unusual shape or if you simply want to save money compared to buying a pre-cut insert.
